Welcome to Under The Willow!

I’m Brittany La Porte, the writer and creator of this space. A Los Angeles native now calling the piney woods of East Texas home. I discovered the art of the written word as a young girl and have immersed myself in various forms of writing and other outlets of creativity ever since. I have worked in Christian Higher Education for ten years. It is both my passion & profession to come alongside college students through mentorship, teaching, and various leadership roles. Currently, I am immersed in literature reviews and proposals as a Doctoral student. I believe a compelling life is surrounded by captivating people and conversations, faith & spirituality, connection, travel, humor, aspirations that nurture purpose and meaning, and transformations made through intuition and growth. It is there, in those spaces, where you can find me aiming to build this life. As you spend time under the willow, I hope to get to know you more.
